Let T be a topological space and μ\mu a positive measure on T; assume that T is the union of a sequence of μ\mu-integrable sets TnT_n (n≥0n \geq 0). Denote by C\mathfrak{C} the clan of subsets of T generated by the compact subsets. a) Let X be a Lusin space. For every μ\mu-measurable mapping ff of T into X, there exists a sequence of mappings fm:T→Xf_m : T \to X having the following properties: α)\alpha) for μ\mu-almost every t∈Tt \in T, f(t)=lim⁡m→∞fm(t)f(t) = \lim_{m \to \infty} f_m(t); β)\beta) for every integer mm, there exists a finite partition of T into sets Aj∈CA_j \in \mathfrak{C} such that fmf_m is constant on each of the sets AjA_j (reduce to the case that the sets TnT_n form a partition of T, where T0T_0 is μ\mu-negligible and TnT_n is compact for n≥1n \geq 1, and where X is a Polish space). b) Let X1,…,XpX_1, \ldots, X_p be Lusin spaces, Y a topological space, gg a mapping of X1×⋯×XpX_1 \times \cdots \times X_p into Y, and fif_i (for 1≤i≤p1 \leq i \leq p) a μ\mu-measurable mapping of T into XiX_i. Assume that, for 1≤i≤p1 \leq i \leq p, the partial mapping xi↦g(x1,…,xp)x_i \mapsto g(x_1, \ldots, x_p) of XiX_i into Y is continuous for any x1,…,xi−1,xi+1,…,xpx_1, \ldots, x_{i-1}, x_{i+1}, \ldots, x_p. Show that the mapping t↦g(f1(t),…,fp(t))t \mapsto g(f_1(t), \ldots, f_p(t)) of T into Y is μ\mu-measurable.
