Exercise 18, § 5

Integration, V, p. 104

Let AA be a set contained in Lr∩LsL^r \cap L^s that is bounded in both LrL^r and LsL^s (1<r<s<+∞1 < r < s < +\infty). Show that for every pp such that r≤p≤sr \leq p \leq s, AA is bounded in LpL^p, and that the topologies induced on AA by the weakened topologies of the LpL^p are identical (note that H~(T)\tilde{\mathscr{H}}(T) is dense in all of the spaces LqL^q where 1≤q<+∞1 \leq q < +\infty). Show that the property ceases to be valid if r=1r = 1 (cf. Exer. 17 a)).
