Exercise 28, § 5

Integration, V, p. 106

Let X be a locally compact space, Λ:t↦λt\Lambda : t \mapsto \lambda_t a μ\mu-adequate mapping of T into M+(X)\mathscr{M}_+(X). Let μ′=g⋅μ\mu' = g \cdot \mu be a positive measure with base μ\mu, such that Λ\Lambda is scalarly essentially μ′\mu'-integrable.

a) Show that Λ\Lambda is μ′\mu'-integrable (use Exer. 27 b), or the relation μ′=sup⁡n(inf⁡(μ′,nμ))\mu' = \sup_n (\inf(\mu', n\mu)) and Exer. 9 of §3).

b) Show that ν′=∫λt dμ′(t)\nu' = \int \lambda_t \, d\mu'(t) is a measure with base ν=∫λt dμ(t)\nu = \int \lambda_t \, d\mu(t).

c) Show that the mapping t↦g(t)λtt \mapsto g(t)\lambda_t is μ\mu-adequate, and that its integral is ν′\nu'.
