Integration, VIII, p. 61

In R2\mathbf{R}^2, let λ\lambda and μ\mu be the positive measures

f↦∫0+∞f(x,0) dx,f↦∫0+∞f(−x,x) dx(f∈H(R2)). f \mapsto \int_0^{+\infty} f(x, 0)\, dx,\quad f \mapsto \int_0^{+\infty} f(-x, x)\, dx \quad (f \in \mathscr{H}(\mathbf{R}^2)).
Show that λ\lambda and μ\mu are convolvable. Let uu be the homomorphism (x,y)↦x(x, y) \mapsto x of R2\mathbf{R}^2 onto R\mathbf{R}. Show that uu is λ\lambda-proper and μ\mu-proper, but that u(λ)u(\lambda) and u(μ)u(\mu) are not convolvable.
