Integration, VIII, p. 61

Let X be a locally compact space in which a locally compact group G operates on the left continuously. Let E be a linear subspace of M(X)\mathscr{M}(X), stable for the γ(s)\gamma(s) (s∈Gs \in G), equipped with a quasi-complete locally convex topology finer than the topology of compact convergence in K(X)\mathscr{K}(X). For every s∈Gs \in G, let γE(s)\gamma_E(s) be the restriction of γ(s)\gamma(s) to E. Assume that μ∈E\mu \in E implies ∣μ∣∈E|\mu| \in E, and that the representation γE\gamma_E of G in E is equicontinuous. Then, if μ∈E\mu \in E and ν∈M1(G)\nu \in \mathscr{M}^1(G), ν\nu and μ\mu are convolvable and ν∗μ=γE(ν)μ∈E\nu * \mu = \gamma_E(\nu)\mu \in E. (Make use notably of Prop. 17 of Ch. VI, §1, No. 7.)
