Exercise 2, § 4

Integration, VIII, p. 65

Let H be the additive group R\mathbf{R} equipped with the discrete topology. Let G be the locally compact group R×R×H\mathbf{R} \times \mathbf{R} \times H. Let α\alpha be a Haar measure on G, β\beta a Haar measure on R×H\mathbf{R} \times H, and μ=ε0⊗β∈M(G)\mu = \varepsilon_0 \otimes \beta \in \mathscr{M}(G). Construct a function f≥0f \geq 0 on G, locally α\alpha-negligible (hence such that μ\mu and ff are convolvable) but such that no translate of ff is μ\mu-measurable. (Imitate the construction of Ch. V, §3, Exer. 4.)
