Give an example of a 7-dimensional real nilpotent Lie algebra with no basis with respect to which the constants of structure are rational (cf. Chapter I, § 4, Exercise 18). Deduce that the corresponding group of type (N) (Exercise 29) has no discrete subgroup with compact subgroup. (Use Exercise 29.)
