Lie Groups and Lie Algebras, III, 407

Let GG be a finite-dimensional real Lie group and G0G_0 its identity component. Consider the following property: (F) Ad(G)\mathrm{Ad}(G) is closed in Aut L(G)\mathrm{Aut}\, L(G). Show that GG has property (F) in each of the following cases: (i) GG is connected and nilpotent; (ii) every derivation of L(G)L(G) is inner; (iii) G0G_0 has property (F) and G/G0G/G_0 is finite; (iv) GG is an upper triangular group; (v) G0G_0 is semi-simple.
