Lie Groups and Lie Algebras, IV

Let II be a set and let F\mathscr{F} be the set of finite subsets of II. For any A∈FA \in \mathscr{F}, put ε(A)=(−1)Card(A)\varepsilon(A) = (-1)^{\mathrm{Card}(A)}. Let GG be an abelian group written additively, and let φ\varphi and ψ\psi be two maps from F\mathscr{F} to GG. Show that the following properties are equivalent:

φ(A)=∑B⊂Aψ(B)for all A∈F;(i) \varphi(A) = \sum_{B \subset A} \psi(B) \quad \text{for all } A \in \mathscr{F}; \tag{i}
ψ(A)=∑B⊂Aε(A−B)φ(B)for all A∈F.(ii) \psi(A) = \sum_{B \subset A} \varepsilon(A - B) \varphi(B) \quad \text{for all } A \in \mathscr{F}. \tag{ii}
