Bourbaki

Exercise 9, § 5

General Topology, IV, 391

Bourbaki marks this one as harder than the rest.

Let XX be a topological space with a countable base and let ff be a real-valued function defined on XX. Show that the set of points x∈Xx \in X, such that lim⁡x→a,x≠af(x)\lim_{x \to a, x \neq a} f(x) exists and differs from f(a)f(a), is countable (same method as in Exercise 7).
