Exercise 14, § 5

General Topology, IX

Let XX be the subspace of R2\mathbf{R}^2 consisting of the points (r,0)(r, 0), where rr runs through the set Q\mathbf{Q} of rational numbers, and the points (k/n,1/n)(k/n, 1/n), where nn runs through the set of integers ⩾1\geqslant 1 and kk runs through the set of all rational integers. Show that XX is a Baire space but is not totally non-meagre.
