Algebra, VIII, p. 29, § 2. The Structure of Modules of Finite Length

In a left Noetherian ring, every left or right invertible element is invertible.

Indeed, consider elements x,yx,y of a left Noetherian ring A such that xy=1xy= 1. Denote by δ(x)\boldsymbol{\delta }(x) and δ(y)\boldsymbol{\delta }(y), respectively, the endomorphisms a↦axa\mapsto ax and a↦aya\mapsto ay of the A-module AsA_s. We have δ(y)∘δ(x)=1As\boldsymbol{\delta }(y)\circ \boldsymbol{\delta }(x) = 1_{A_s}; hence δ(y)\boldsymbol{\delta }(y) is surjective. By Corollary 1, a), δ(y)\boldsymbol{\delta }(y) is bijective. The endomorphism δ(x)\boldsymbol{\delta }(x) is then the inverse bijection of δ(y)\boldsymbol{\delta }(y), and we have yx=(δ(x)∘δ(y))(1)=1yx= (\boldsymbol{\delta }(x)\circ \boldsymbol{\delta }(y))(1) = 1. The corollary follows.

Bourbaki sets the proof directly after the statement, and the corpus does not separate them, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
