Algebra, VIII, p. 190, § 11. Grothendieck Groups

Let E and F be semisimple modules of type C\mathscr{C}. The module E is isomorphic to F if and only if we have [E]C=[F]C[E]_{\mathscr{C}}= [F]_{\mathscr{C}} in K(C)K(\mathscr{C}).

Indeed, we have [E]C=∑S∈SℓS(E)[S]C[E]_{\mathscr{C}}=\sum_{S\in\mathscr{S}}\ell_S(E)[S]_{\mathscr{C}} and an analogous formula for F, and E is isomorphic to F if and only if we have ℓS(E)=ℓS(F)\ell_S(E) =\ell_S(F) for every S∈SS\in \mathscr{S} (VIII, p. 72).

Bourbaki sets the proof directly after the statement, and the corpus does not separate them, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
