Algebra, VIII, p. 191, § 11. Grothendieck Groups

Let SS(A)\mathscr{S}\mathscr{S}(A) be the hereditary set of classes of semisimple A-modules of finite length. By Proposition 7 of VIII, p. 190, the Grothendieck group K(SS(A))K(\mathscr{S}\mathscr{S}(A)) is a free Z\mathbf{Z}-module whose elements [S]SS(A)[S]_{\mathscr{S}\mathscr{S}(A)} (for S∈S(A)S\in \mathscr{S}(A)) form a basis. The canonical homomorphism γLF(A),SS(A)\gamma_{\mathscr{L}\mathscr{F}(A),\mathscr{S}\mathscr{S}(A)} (VIII, p. 186) is therefore an isomorphism.

Bourbaki sets the proof directly after the statement, and the corpus does not separate them, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
