Algebra, VIII, p. 237, § 13. Absolutely Semisimple Algebras

Let K be a commutative field, let A be a K-algebra, and let M be an A-module. The group EndK(M)_K(M) is endowed with an (A(A, A)-bimodule structure defined by

aua′(x)=au(a′x) aua'(x) =au(a'x)

for every a,a′∈Aa, a'\in A, every u∈u\in EndK_K(M), and every x∈Mx\in M. We endow it with the associated B-module structure. Let e=∑i=1rai⊗ai′e=\sum^r_{i=1}a_i\otimes a'_i be an element of B satisfying the conditions in part (ii) of Proposition 5, so also relations (2) and (3). If p∈p\in EndK(M)_K(M) is a projector whose image N is an A-submodule of M, then epep is an A-linear projector with the same image.

Indeed, the image of epep is contained in N. If xx belongs to N, then so does ai′xa'_ix, so that we have p(ai′x)=ai′xp(a'_ix) =a'_ix and

ep(x)=∑i=1raiai′x=x ep(x) =\sum_{i=1}^ra_ia'_ix=x

by formula (2). We deduce from formula (3) that aep(x)=ep(ax)aep(x) =ep(ax) for every a∈Aa\in A and every x∈Mx\in M, which proves that epep is A-linear.

Bourbaki sets the proof directly after the statement, and the corpus does not separate them, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
