Algebra, VIII, p. 321, § 16. Other Descriptions of the Brauer Group

We can calculate a 2-cocycle cc associated with an algebra A split by a finite Galois extension L with group G as follows. First, there exists a K-homomorphism φ:A→Mm\varphi : A\rightarrow \mathbf{M}_m(L), where [A:K]=m2[A : K] =m^2. For g∈Gg\in G, let φg\varphi^g be the homomorphism from A to Mm(L)\mathbf{M}_m(L) given by a↦φ(g−1ag)a\mapsto \varphi (g^{-1}ag). By the Skolem–Noether theorem (VIII, p. 256, Theorem 3), for every g∈Gg\in G, there exists an element ugu_g of GLm(L)\mathbf{G}\mathbf{L}_m(L) such that

φg(a)=ugφ(a)ug−1 \varphi^g(a) =u_g\varphi (a)u^{-1}_g

for a∈Aa\in A. We then set

c(g,g′)=ugug′ugg′−1 c(g, g') =u_gu_{g'}u^{-1}_{gg'}

We can also define an extension of G by L∗L^* using φ:\varphi : we consider the group Γ⊂GLm(L)\Gamma \subset \mathbf{G}\mathbf{L}_m(L) consisting of the γ\gamma for which there exists a g∈Gg\in G with

φg(a)=γφ(a)γ−1 \varphi^g(a) =\gamma \varphi (a)\gamma^{-1}

for every a∈Aa\in A. The class of this extension is the inverse image by Ψ of the class of A in Br(L/K/K).

Bourbaki sets the proof directly after the statement, and the corpus does not separate them, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
