Algebra, VIII, p. 441, Appendix 1. Algebras without Unit Element

The radical of A is the trace on A of the radical of A~\widetilde{A}; it is also equal to the radical of the opposite algebra Ao(A^o(that is, to the intersection of the regular maximal right ideals of A). If the ring kk is without radical, then the radical of A is equal to that of A~\widetilde{A}.

The equality ℜ(A~)∩A=ℜ(A)\Re (\widetilde{A})\cap A =\Re (A) follows from Proposition 4 of VIII, p. 438, b). Since A~\widetilde{A} and A~o\widetilde{A}^o have the same radical (VIII, p. 156, Corollary 1), the equality ℜ(A)=ℜ(Ao)\Re (A) =\Re (A^o) follows. If kk is without radical, then the intersection of the maximal left ideals of A~\widetilde{A} containing A is equal to A. Consequently, ℜ(A~)\Re (\widetilde{A}) is contained in A and therefore equal to ℜ(A)\Re (A).

Bourbaki sets the proof directly after the statement, and the corpus does not separate them, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
