Algebra, VIII, p. 4, § 1. Artinian Modules and Noetherian Modules

Let M be an A-module and N, P, and Q submodules of M. Suppose that we have P⊂QP\subset Q, N∩P=N∩QN\cap P = N\cap Q, and N + P = N + Q. We then have P = Q.

Let xx be an element of Q. It belongs to N + P; hence, there exists an element yy of P such that x−y∈Nx-y\in N. Since Q contains P, the difference x−yx-y belongs to N∩QN\cap Q and therefore to P. Consequently, xx belongs to P.

Bourbaki sets the proof directly after the statement, and the corpus does not separate them, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
