Lie Groups and Lie Algebras, chapter VII, § 3. Conjugacy theorems

Let V be a finite dimensional vector space. For all g∈SLg\in \mathbf{S}\mathbf{L}(V), let φ(g)\varphi (g) be the automorphism x→gxg−1x \rightarrow gxg^{-1} of gl(V)\mathfrak{g}\mathfrak{l}(V). Then

Aute(gl(V))=φ(SL(V))_e(\mathfrak{g}\mathfrak{l}(V)) =\varphi (\mathbf{S}\mathbf{L}(V)).

Indeed, by (1), Aute(gl(V))_e(\mathfrak{g}\mathfrak{l}(V)) is contained in φ(SL\varphi (\mathbf{S}\mathbf{L}(V)), and the opposite inclusion follows from Algebra, Chap. III, §8, no. 9, Prop. 17 and (1). An analogous argument shows that Aute(sl(V))_e(\mathfrak{s}\mathfrak{l}(V)) is the set of restrictions of elements of φ(SL(V))\varphi (\mathbf{S}\mathbf{L}(V)) to sl(V)\mathfrak{s}\mathfrak{l}(V).

Bourbaki sets the proof directly after the statement, and the corpus does not separate them, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
