We shall see (§3, no. 3, Cor. of Prop. 10) that if $\mathfrak{h},\mathfrak{h}'$ are splitting Cartan subalgebras of $\mathfrak{g}$ , there exists an elementary automorphism of $\mathfrak{g}$ transforming $\mathfrak{h}$ into $\mathfrak{h}'$ .
