Bourbaki marks this one as harder than the rest.

Retain the notations of no. 3. Let m\mathfrak{m} be an ideal of a\mathfrak{a}.

a) Let α\alpha and β\beta be two distinct elements of B. Assume that (ad xαx_{\alpha})Nxβ^Nx_{\beta} belongs to m\mathfrak{m} for N sufficiently large. Show that xαβ∈mx_{\alpha \beta}\in \mathfrak{m}. (Apply the results of §1, no. 2 to a/m\mathfrak{a}/\mathfrak{m}, provided with a suitable sl(2,k\mathfrak{s}\mathfrak{l}(2, k)-module structure.)

b) Show that n+θn\mathfrak{n}+\theta \mathfrak{n} is the smallest finite codimensional ideal of a\mathfrak{a}. Show that this is also the smallest ideal containing the (ad xαx_{\alpha})4xβ^4x_{\beta} and the (ad x−αx_{-\alpha})4x−β^4x_{-\beta}.
