Lie Groups and Lie Algebras, chapter IX, § 6. Integration on compact Lie groups

Consider the function λg\lambda_{\mathfrak{g}} associated to a compact Lie group G; in view of §2, no. 1, Th. 1, to calculate λg\lambda_{\mathfrak{g}} it suffices to know its values on t\mathfrak{t}. But, for x∈tx\in \mathfrak{t}, the endomorphism ad xx of g\mathfrak{g} is semi-simple, and has eigenvalues 0 (with multiplicity rr) and, for all α∈R(G,T),δ(α)(x)\alpha \in R(G,T),\delta (\alpha )(x) (with multiplicity 1). It follows immediately that

λg(x)=∏eδ(α)(x)−1δ(α)(x)=δg(x)πg(x)(11) \lambda_{\mathfrak{g}}(x) =\prod\frac{e^{\delta(\alpha)(x)} - 1}{\delta(\alpha)(x)}=\frac{\delta_{\mathfrak{g}}(x)}{\pi_{\mathfrak{g}}(x)} \tag{11}
α∈R(G,T)\alpha \in R(G,T)

with δg(x)=δG\delta_{\mathfrak{g}}(x) =\delta_G(exp xx) and πg(x)=∏α∈R(G,T)δ(α)(x)=\pi_{\mathfrak{g}}(x) =\prod_{\alpha\in R(G,T)}\delta (\alpha )(x) = det adg/t(x)_{\mathfrak{g}/\mathfrak{t}}(x).

Let ωG/T\omega_{G/T} be an invariant differential form of degree n−rn-r on G/TG/T and ωt\omega_{\mathfrak{t}} a translation-invariant differential form of degree rr on t\mathfrak{t}. With the notation of no. 1, denote by ωG/T∩ωt\omega_{G/T}\cap \omega_{\mathfrak{t}} the unique translation-invariant differential form ωg\omega_{\mathfrak{g}} of degree nn on g\mathfrak{g} such that ωg(0)=ωG/T(e‾)∩ωt(0)\omega_{\mathfrak{g}}(0) =\omega_{G/T}(\overline{e})\cap \omega_{\mathfrak{t}}(0).

Finally, denote by ψ:(G/T)×t→g\psi : (G/T)\times \mathfrak{t}\rightarrow \mathfrak{g} the morphism of manifolds induced by the map (g,x)→(g, x) \rightarrow (Ad gg)(x)(x) from G×tG\times \mathfrak{t} to g\mathfrak{g} by passage to the quotient.

Bourbaki sets the proof directly after the statement, and the corpus does not separate them, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
