Topologie algébrique, chapter I, § 4. Revêtements
Let B and be topological spaces, let be a B-space and let be a -space. Suppose that E and are locally trivial fibre spaces ( resp. coverings). The space , endowed with the mapping , is then a locally trivial fibre space ( resp. a covering) with base . If E and are trivializable, so is .
Suppose first that the B-space E and the -space admit trivializations ; the composite of the homeomorphism of onto and of the canonical homeomorphism of onto is a trivialization of the -space , of fibre-type . If F and are discrete spaces, the space is also discrete.
In the general case, for every point of , there exists a neighbourhood U of in B and a neighbourhood of in such that the U-space and the -space are trivializable. It follows from the foregoing that the -space is trivializable over . Hence it is a locally trivial fibre space with base . Its fibres are discrete if E and are coverings, whence the proposition.
It should be observed that, if is a family of locally trivial fibre spaces, or even of coverings, the product space endowed with the mapping is not necessarily a locally trivial fibre space with base I, p. 145, Exercise 3).
Bourbaki sets the proof directly after the statement, and the corpus does not separate them, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
