Topologie algébrique, chapter III, § 5. Homotopie et revêtements (cas des espaces localement connexes par arcs)
Let and be connected coverings of B. Let be a point of and a point of . In order that there exist a B-morphism such that , it is necessary and sufficient that one have . Such a morphism is then unique, and is an isomorphism if and only if the subgroups and of are equal.
According to III, p. 305, Theorem 1, the mapping of onto defined by induces by passing to the quotient an isomorphism of the -set onto . Analogously, there exists a unique isomorphism of -sets of onto . According to Proposition 2, there exists a B-morphism such that if and only if there exists a morphism of -sets of onto which sends the class onto the class . Such a morphism exists if and only if one has . It is then unique, since the space E is assumed connected (I, p. 34, cor. 2 of prop. 11). It is an isomorphism if and only if the subgroups and of are equal.
Bourbaki sets the proof directly after the statement, and the corpus does not separate them, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
