Théories spectrales, chapter I, § 6. Algèbres stellaires

Let (Ai)(A_i) be a family of involutive normed algebras. Let A be the product normed algebra of the AiA_i (No.o1^o1 of I, p. 15). The algebra A, endowed with the involution (xi)∗=(xi∗)(x_i)^*= (x^*_i), is an involutive normed algebra. If each of the algebras AiA_i is an involutive Banach algebra, then A is an involutive Banach algebra. One says that A is the product involutive normed algebra (resp. the product involutive Banach algebra) of the AiA_i.

Bourbaki sets the proof directly after the statement, and the corpus does not separate them, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
