Let G be a locally compact group and let A be the involutive Banach algebra of bounded measures on G admitting a density with respect to a Haar measure on G (example 4 of I, p. 99). The stellar algebra of G is by definition the enveloping stellar algebra of the involutive Banach algebra A. It is denoted by Stell(G).
