Théories spectrales, chapter III, § 3. Endomorphismes de Fredholm et endomorphismes de Riesz
Let E, F and G be locally convex spaces, and continuous linear mappings.
1) Suppose that is a Fredholm mapping and let be a quasi-inverse of . Since is a quasi-inverse of , the mapping is a Fredholm mapping.
2) Suppose that and are mappings of Fredholm, and let (resp. ) be a quasi-inverse of (resp. ). Then is a mapping of Fredholm from E into G and is a quasi-inverse of . Indeed, one calculates
3) Suppose that and are mappings of Fredholm, and let be a quasi-inverse of . Then is a mapping of Fredholm and is a quasi-inverse of .
Indeed, is a mapping of Fredholm according to the first remark. Let be a quasi-inverse of ; according to the second remark, is a mapping of Fredholm and is a quasi-inverse of it. We have , whence ; this proves the assertion.
4) Suppose that and are mappings of Fredholm, and let be a quasi-inverse of . Then is a mapping of Fredholm and is a quasi-inverse of .
The proof is analogous to that of the preceding remark.
Bourbaki sets the proof directly after the statement, and the corpus does not separate them, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
