Théories spectrales, chapter III, § 6. Propriétés spectrales des endomorphismes des espaces de Banach

Let E be a complete normed space, E′E' the dual space of E and uu an endomorphism of E.

a) One has Sps(u)=_s(u) = Sps(tu)_s(^tu), Spn(u)=_n(u) = Sp−n(tu)_{-n}(^tu) for every n∈Z‾n\in \overline{\mathbf{Z}} and Spω(u)=Spω(tu)_{\omega}(u) = Sp_{\omega}(^tu);

b) Every point of Sps(u)_s(u) has the same spectral multiplicity for uu and for tu^tu.

Assertion a) of prop. 3 of I, p. 131 proves that Sp(uu) == Sp(tu^tu), and assertion c) of loc. cit. implies that Sps(u)=_s(u) = Sps(tu)_s(^tu) and that assertion b) is valid.

For every λ∈C\lambda \in \mathbf{C}, lemma 4 of III, p. 69 implies that u−λ1Eu-\lambda 1_E is a strict morphism if and only if tu−λ1E′^tu-\lambda 1_{E'} is one, and that

dim Coker(t(u−λ1E)^t(u-\lambda 1_E)) == dim Ker(u−λ1Eu-\lambda 1_E)

dim Ker(t(u−λ1E)^t(u-\lambda 1_E)) == dim Coker(u−λ1Eu-\lambda 1_E)

in Z‾\overline{\mathbf{Z}}. Assertion a) follows from this, taking account of the definitions of the various parts of the spectrum (def. 3 of III, p. 85).

Bourbaki sets the proof directly after the statement, and the corpus does not separate them, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
