Théories spectrales, chapter III, § 6. Propriétés spectrales des endomorphismes des espaces de Banach

Let E be a complete normable space, uu an endomorphism of E and hh a compact endomorphism of E. One has Spω(u+h)=_{\omega}(u+h) = Spω(u)_{\omega}(u) and Spn(u+h)=_n(u+h) = Spn(u)_n(u) for every n∈Z‾−{0}n\in \overline{\mathbf{Z}}-\{0\}.

Let λ∈C\lambda \in \mathbf{C}. In order that u+h−λ1Eu+h-\lambda 1_E be a strict morphism whose kernel (resp. cokernel) is of finite dimension, it is necessary and sufficient that u−λ1Eu-\lambda 1_E be so, by Theorem 1 of III, p. 72 (resp. Theorem 2 of III, p. 73).

The equalities

Sp−∞(u+h)=_{-\infty}(u+h) = Sp−∞(u)_{-\infty}(u), Sp+∞(u+h)=_{+\infty}(u+h) = Sp+∞(u)_{+\infty}(u),

Spω(u+h)=_{\omega}(u+h) = Spω(u)_{\omega}(u)

follow from this. Moreover, one has Spn(u+h)=_n(u+h) = Spn(u)_n(u) by Theorem 3 of III, p. 73 for every n∈Z−{0}n\in \mathbf{Z}-\{0\}.

Bourbaki sets the proof directly after the statement, and the corpus does not separate them, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
