Théories spectrales, chapter IV, § 2. Endomorphismes normaux

Let A be a commutative unital stellar subalgebra of L(E)\mathscr{L}(E). For every xx and yy in E, the linear form f↦⟨x∣HA(f)y⟩f\mapsto \langle x|\mathscr{H}_A(f)y\rangle on C(X(A))\mathscr{C}(\mathsf{X}(A)) is called the spectral measure of (x,y)(x, y) relative to A. If x=yx=y, it is said to be the spectral measure of xx relative to A.

Bourbaki sets the proof directly after the statement, and the corpus does not separate them, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
