Théories spectrales, chapter IV, § 3. Distributions et distributions tempérées

A sequence (φm)(\varphi_m) in C∞(Rn)\mathscr{C}^{\infty}(\mathbf{R}^n) converges if and only if, for every α∈Nn\alpha \in \mathbf{N}^n, the sequence (∂αφm)(\partial^{\alpha}\varphi_m) converges to a function φ(α)\varphi^{(\alpha)} in C(Rn)\mathscr{C}(\mathbf{R}^n) endowed with the topology of compact convergence. One then has φ(α)=∂αφ\varphi^{(\alpha)}=\partial^{\alpha}\varphi and (φm)(\varphi_m) converges to φ(0)\varphi^{(0)}.

In fact, the condition is necessary. Conversely, if the sequences (∂αφm)(\partial^{\alpha}\varphi_m) converge to functions φ(α)\varphi^{(\alpha)} for every α∈Nn\alpha \in \mathbf{N}^n, then it follows from FVR, II, p. 2, th. 1, that φ(α)=∂αφ(0)\varphi^{(\alpha)}=\partial^{\alpha}\varphi^{(0)}, which means that the sequence (φm)(\varphi_m) converges to φ(0)\varphi^{(0)} in C∞(Rn)\mathscr{C}^{\infty}(\mathbf{R}^n).

Bourbaki sets the proof directly after the statement, and the corpus does not separate them, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
