Théories spectrales, chapter IV, § 3. Distributions et distributions tempérées

A measure ν\nu on Rn\mathbf{R}^n is said to be tempered if there exists an integer r∈Nr\in \mathbf{N} such that the continuous mapping x↦(1+∥x∥)−rx\mapsto (1 +\|x\|)^{-r} is ν\nu-integrable on Rn\mathbf{R}^n.

In other words, a measure ν\nu is tempered if there exists r∈Nr\in \mathbf{N} such that the function defined by x↦∥x∥−rx\mapsto \|x\|^{-r} is ν\nu-integrable on the complement of the unit ball in Rn\mathbf{R}^n. In particular, every bounded measure on Rn\mathbf{R}^n is tempered. More generally, if ff is a μ\mu-measurable function of polynomial growth and if ν\nu is tempered, then the measure f⋅νf\cdot \nu is tempered.

The set Mt(Rn)\mathscr{M}^t(\mathbf{R}^n) of tempered measures on Rn\mathbf{R}^n is a subspace of the vector space M(Rn;C)\mathscr{M}(\mathbf{R}^n;\mathbf{C}) of complex measures on Rn\mathbf{R}^n.

Bourbaki sets the proof directly after the statement, and the corpus does not separate them, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
