Théories spectrales, chapter IV, § 4. Opérateurs partiels

Let E and F be topological vector spaces over K. Let uu be a closable operator of E into F. The domain of the closure of uu is contained in the closure of the domain of uu in E. In general, it is distinct from it (exercise 1 of IV, p. 344, b)).

If u∈P(E;F)u\in \mathscr{P}(E; F) is closable and dom(uu) =E= E, then u=u‾u=\overline{u} is closed, since then dom(u‾\overline{u}) == dom(uu).

Bourbaki sets the proof directly after the statement, and the corpus does not separate them, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
