Théories spectrales, chapter V, § 1. Représentations unitaires

Let ϱ\varrho be a unitary representation of a topological group G in a Hilbert space E. The following conditions are equivalent:

(i) The representation ϱ\varrho is irreducible;

(ii) The contragredient representation ϱ˘\breve{\varrho} is irreducible;

(iii) The conjugate representation ϱ‾\overline{\varrho} is irreducible.

This results from Proposition 2, and from the remark preceding it concerning the subrepresentations of E.

Bourbaki sets the proof directly after the statement, and the corpus does not separate them, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
