Théories spectrales, chapter V, § 1. Représentations unitaires

Let ϱ\varrho be a unitary representation of a topological group G in a Hilbert space E. Let π\pi be a subrepresentation of E and F the space of π\pi. The orthogonal complement F∘F^{\circ} of F in E is a subrepresentation of E such that E=F⊕F∘E = F\oplus F^{\circ} and F∘F^{\circ} is isomorphic to E/FE/F.

The space F∘F^{\circ} is closed. For every x∈F∘x\in F^{\circ}, every g∈Gg\in G and every y∈Fy\in F, one has ⟨ϱ(g)x∣y⟩=⟨x∣ϱ(g−1)y⟩=0\langle \varrho (g)x|y\rangle =\langle x|\varrho (g^{-1})y\rangle = 0 since ϱ\varrho is unitary and F is a subrepresentation. Hence ϱ(g)x∈F∘\varrho (g)x\in F^{\circ}.

The canonical projection of E onto E/FE/F is a G-morphism, hence the mapping of F∘F^{\circ} into E/FE/F which is deduced from it by passing to the subspace is a G-morphism of F∘F^{\circ} into E/FE/F; by EVT, V, p. 13, it is an isometric isomorphism.

We shall also denote by π∘\pi^{\circ} the representation of G in F∘F^{\circ}.

Bourbaki sets the proof directly after the statement, and the corpus does not separate them, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
