Théories spectrales, chapter V, § 1. Représentations unitaires

We denote by G^\widehat{G} the set of classes of irreducible unitary representations of G in a complex Hilbert space. One says that G^\widehat{G} is the unitary dual of G.

For every irreducible unitary representation π\pi of G in a complex Hilbert space, one therefore has cl(π\pi )∈G^\in \widehat{G}.

Bourbaki sets the proof directly after the statement, and the corpus does not separate them, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
