Théories spectrales, chapter V, § 1. Représentations unitaires

Let G be a topological group and let π\pi be an irreducible continuous representation of G. Let ϱ\varrho be a continuous representation of G in a separated locally convex space E. The π\pi-isotypical component of ϱ\varrho is the closure in E of the sum of the spaces of all the subrepresentations of ϱ\varrho isomorphic to π\pi. This subspace is denoted by Mπ(ϱ)M_{\pi}(\varrho ).

The space Mπ(ϱ)M_{\pi}(\varrho ) is a closed subspace of E, which defines a subrepresentation of ϱ\varrho. This space depends only on the class of π\pi in G^\widehat{G}.

Bourbaki sets the proof directly after the statement, and the corpus does not separate them, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
