Theory of Sets, chapter III, § 3. Equipotent sets. Cardinals

Let (aι)ι∈I(\mathfrak{a}_\iota)_{\iota \in I} be a family of cardinals. The cardinal of the product (resp. sum) of the sets aι\mathfrak{a}_\iota is called the cardinal product (resp. cardinal sum) of the cardinals aι\mathfrak{a}_\iota and is denoted by Pι∈Iaι\mathop{\mathbf{P}}_{\iota \in I} \mathfrak{a}_\iota (resp. ∑ι∈Iaι)\left(\text{resp. } \sum_{\iota \in I} \mathfrak{a}_\iota\right).

Whenever there is no risk of confusion we shall say simply "product" and "sum" in place of "cardinal product" and "cardinal sum", and we shall write ∏ι∈Iaι\prod_{\iota \in I} \mathfrak{a}_\iota in place of Pι∈Iaι\mathop{\mathbf{P}}_{\iota \in I} \mathfrak{a}_\iota (cf. Exercise 2).

Bourbaki sets the proof directly after the statement, and the corpus does not separate them, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
