Theory of Sets, chapter III, § 3. Equipotent sets. Cardinals

There does not exists a set that has every cardinal as an element.

If U were such a set, there would exist a set S, the sum of the family of sets (X)X∈U(X)_{X \in U}, so that every cardinal is equipotent to a subset of S. In particular, let S=Card(S)\mathfrak{S} = \mathrm{Card}(S); since 2S2^\mathfrak{S} is a cardinal, we would have 2S⩽S2^\mathfrak{S} \leqslant \mathfrak{S}, in contradiction to Theorem 2.

Bourbaki sets the proof directly after the statement, and the corpus does not separate them, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
