Theory of Sets, chapter II, § 3. Correspondences

Let G be a graph and X a set. The set of all objects which correspond under G to elements of X is called the image of X under G and is denoted by G⟨X⟩G\langle X \rangle or G(X)G(X).

Let Γ=(G,A,B)\Gamma = (G, A, B) be a correspondence and let X be a subset of A. The set G⟨X⟩G\langle X \rangle is also denoted by Γ⟨X⟩\Gamma\langle X \rangle or Γ(X)\Gamma(X) and is called the image of X under Γ\Gamma.

Remarks

Bourbaki sets the proof directly after the statement, and the corpus does not separate them, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
