Theory of Sets, chapter II, § 5. Product of a family of sets

Let (Xι)ι∈I(X_\iota)_{\iota\in I} be a family of sets such that Xι≠∅X_\iota\ne\varnothing for all ι∈I\iota\in I. If gg is a mapping of J⊂IJ\subset I into A=⋃ι∈IXιA=\displaystyle\bigcup_{\iota\in I}X_\iota, such that g(ι)∈Xιg(\iota)\in X_\iota for all ι∈J\iota\in J, then there exists an extension ff of gg to II such that f(ι)∈Xιf(\iota)\in X_\iota for all ι∈I\iota\in I.

For each ι∈I−J\iota\in I-J let TιT_\iota denote the term τι(y∈Xι)\tau_\iota(y\in X_\iota). Since Xι≠∅X_\iota\ne\varnothing by hypothesis, we have Tι∈XιT_\iota\in X_\iota for all ι∈I−J\iota\in I-J (Chapter I, §4, no. 1). If GG is the graph of gg, the graph G∪(⋃ι∈I−J{(ι,Tι)})G\cup\left(\displaystyle\bigcup_{\iota\in I-J}\{(\iota,T_\iota)\}\right) is the graph of a function which has the required properties, as is immediately verified.

Bourbaki sets the proof directly after the statement, and the corpus does not separate them, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
