Theory of Sets, chapter III, § 3. Equipotent sets. Cardinals

Given any set AA, there exists a set whose elements are the cardinals Card⁡(X)\operatorname{Card}(X) for all the subsets XX of AA, namely, the set of objects of the form Card⁡(X)\operatorname{Card}(X) for X∈P(A)X\in\mathfrak{P}(A) (Chapter II, § 1, no. 6). For every cardinal α\alpha the relation “ξ\xi is a cardinal and ξ≤α\xi\leq\alpha” is therefore collectivizing in α\alpha (Chapter II, § 1, no. 4), because it is equivalent to the relation "x\mathfrak{x} is of the form Card (X) for X⊂aX \subset \mathfrak{a}"; the set of all x\mathfrak{x} satisfying this relation is called the set of cardinals ⩽a\leqslant \mathfrak{a}.

Bourbaki sets the proof directly after the statement, and the corpus does not separate them, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
