Theory of Sets, chapter II, § 6. Equivalence relations

Let R\mathrm{R} be the equivalence relation "x∈Ex \in \mathrm{E} and y∈Ey \in \mathrm{E} and x=yx = y" on a set E\mathrm{E}. The equivalence class of x∈Ex \in \mathrm{E} is then the set {x}\{x\}, and the canonical mapping x→{x}x \to \{x\} of E\mathrm{E} onto E/R\mathrm{E}/\mathrm{R} is bijective.

Bourbaki sets the proof directly after the statement, and the corpus does not separate them, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
