Commutative Algebra, chapter II, § 2. Rings and modules of fractions

Let AA be a ring and SS and TT two subsets of AA such that S⊂TS \subset T. There exists a unique homomorphism iAT,Si_A^{T,S} from A[S−1]A[S^{-1}] to A[T−1]A[T^{-1}] such that iAT=iAT,S∘iASi_A^T = i_A^{T,S} \circ i_A^S.

For all a∈Aa \in A, iAT,Si_A^{T,S} then maps the element a/sa/s in A[S−1]A[S^{-1}] to the element a/sa/s in A[T−1]A[T^{-1}].

Remark (7). Note that, if iATi_A^T is injective, so is iAT,Si_A^{T,S} (Corollary 1). This is what happens if TT is the set RR of elements of AA which are not divisors of 0; then it is possible to identify A[S−1]A[S^{-1}] with the subring of the total ring of fractions A[R−1]A[R^{-1}] generated by AA and the inverses in A[R−1]A[R^{-1}] of the elements of SS.

Bourbaki puts the proof directly after the statement, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
