Commutative Algebra, chapter II, § 4. Spectra of rings and supports of modules

Suppose that XX has only ajinite number of distinct irreducible components XiX_i (1≤i≤n1 \leq i \leq n); then U+=C(⋃j≠iXj)U_+ = \mathbf{C}(\bigcup_{j \neq i} X_j) is open in XX and dense in XiX_i since Xi∉⋃j≠iXjX_i \notin \bigcup_{j \neq i} X_j; the UiU_i (1≤i≤n1 \leq i \leq n) are therefore non-empty open sets of XX which are irreducible (Proposition 2), pairwise disjoint and with their union dense in XX.

Bourbaki puts the proof directly after the statement, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
