Commutative Algebra, chapter II, § 4. Spectra of rings and supports of modules

In a topological space XX, for a set EE to be irreducible, it is necessary and sufficient that its closure E‾\overline{E} be so.

For an open set of XX to meet EE, it is necessary and sufficient that it meet E‾\overline{E}; then the proposition follows from the above remarks.

Bourbaki puts the proof directly after the statement, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
