Algebra, chapter III, § 4. Tensor products of algebras

Let (Ei)i∈I(E_i)_{i \in I} be a family of AA*-algebras and for each* i∈Ii \in I let BiB_i be a basis of EiE_i such that the unit element eie_i belongs to BiB_i. Let BB be the set of elements of the form ⨂i∈Ixi\bigotimes_{i \in I} x_i, where (xi)(x_i) runs through the set of elements of ∏i∈IBi\prod_{i \in I} B_i such that the family (xi−ei)(x_i - e_i) has finite support. Then BB is a basis of the algebra ⨂i∈IEi\bigotimes_{i \in I} E_i and this basis contains the unit element ee.

For every finite subset JJ of II, let BJB_J be the basis of EJ=⨂i∈JEiE_J = \bigotimes_{i \in J} E_i the tensor product of the bases BiB_i for i∈Ji \in J (II, § 3, no. 9). It follows immediately from the definitions that BB is the union of the fJ(BJ)f_J(B_J) when JJ runs through F(I)\mathscr{F}(I) and that fJ′,J(BJ)⊂BJ′f_{J',J}(B_J) \subset B_{J'} when J⊂J′J \subset J'; hence (BJ)(B_J) is a direct system of subsets of the EJE_J and B=lim⁡→BJB = \lim \rightarrow B_J; the conclusion then follows from II, § 6, no. 2, Corollary to Proposition 5.

The basis BB is also called the tensor product of the bases BiB_i for i∈Ii \in I; when the conditions of Proposition 9 are fulfilled, the canonical homomorphisms fJ:EJ→E=⨂i∈IEif_J : E_J \to E = \bigotimes_{i \in I} E_i are injective for every subset JJ of II, for if BJB_J is the basis of EJE_J the tensor product of the BiB_i for i∈Ji \in J, it is immediately verified that the restriction of fJf_J to BJB_J is injective and maps BJB_J onto a subset of BB.

Bourbaki puts the proof directly after the statement, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
