Algebra, chapter III, § 4. Tensor products of algebras

(1) The trivial system of commutation factors consists of the εij\varepsilon_{ij} such that εij(αi,βj)=1\varepsilon_{ij}(\alpha_i, \beta_j) = 1 for all i,ji, j, αi∈Δi\alpha_i \in \Delta_i, βj∈Δj\beta_j \in \Delta_j.

(2) If we take A=Z\mathbf{A} = \mathbf{Z} and Δi=Z\Delta_i = \mathbf{Z} for all i∈Ii \in I, a system of commutation factors is obtained by taking εij(αi,βj)=(−1)αiβj\varepsilon_{ij}(\alpha_i, \beta_j) = (-1)^{\alpha_i \beta_j}. Note that this number depends only on the parities of αi\alpha_i and βj\beta_j and the εij\varepsilon_{ij} can therefore be considered as commutation factors when certain of the Δi\Delta_i are equal to Z/2Z\mathbf{Z}/2\mathbf{Z} and the others to Z\mathbf{Z}.

These two examples are the most frequent cases encountered in applications.

Bourbaki puts the proof directly after the statement, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
