Algebra, chapter III, § 4. Tensor products of algebras
Let E and F be two graded A-algebras of type , both anticommutative (resp. alternating). Then the skew tensor product (no. 7) is an anticommutative (resp. alternating) algebra.
A generating system of consists of the , where (resp. ) is a homogeneous element of E (resp. F). Consider two such elements , with , so that is of degree and of degree . Then by definition (no. 7, formula (27)) and by virtue of (36),
and the criterion of Proposition 13 shows that is anticommutative since (mod. 2). If further E and F are alternating and is odd, one of the numbers is necessarily odd, hence and Proposition 13 shows that is alternating.
Bourbaki puts the proof directly after the statement, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
