Algebra, chapter III, § 5. Tensor algebra. Tensors

Note in particular that the hypotheses of Proposition 4 always hold for arbitrary submodules N,PN, P of MM when AA is a field (II, § 7, no. 3, Proposition 4). Moreover, if N⊂PN \subset P and N≠PN \neq P, then Tn(N)≠Tn(P)T^n(N) \neq T^n(P) for all n≥1n \geq 1, since if RR is a complement of PP in NN, then Tn(P)∩Tn(R)={0}T^n(P) \cap T^n(R) = \{0\} by (4) and Tn(R)≠{0}T^n(R) \neq \{0\}.

Bourbaki puts the proof directly after the statement, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
